Keanu Reeves reveals serious injury he suffered recently while filming latest movie

Keanu Reeves is one of the most beloved celebrities of his generation. There is perhaps no one who has met him who would speak an ill word of him. So when the beloved actor revealed something unfortunate that happened to him, a lot of people were immediately concerned.

Keep reading to know more.

Keanu Reeves has recently been busy filming his latest project Good Fortune. The actor appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this week and recounted a story which had some people concerned.

The 59-year-old actor shared how he broke his kneecap while filming. Reeves, who is known for his action-packed filmography with movies like The Matrix and the John Wick series, revealed how he was felled by a rather innocuous thing.

Colbert asked Reeves, “What happened? Who got to you?”

The actor replied playfully in a tough guy voice, “No one got to me,” adding, “Accident got to me.”

“Were you jumping from building to building? Were you doing a cartwheel past razor blades? What were you doing?” Stephen further probed.

“No, Stephen, I was walking into the dressing room, a room. I will tell it quick,” Keanu explained.

Keanu shared that it happened while he was filming a scene for an upcoming comedy titled Good Fortune with Aziz Ansari, and Seth Rogen. The three of them were in a cold plunge, and Keanu was enjoying it. After they finished, he started doing the “cold shuffle” in a room with protective carpets. Unfortunately, his foot got caught in a pocket as he was doing so.

Keanu stood up to demonstrate what had happened by walking in front of Stephen’s desk and showed how his knee gave way. “And I spiked. Like, spiked,” he said, mimicking what had happened to him. “Just drove it into the ground.”

“My patella, kneecap, cracked like a potato chip. But I didn’t know that. But then once my knee was blowing up,” Keanu went on.

“Comedy is hard, man,” Keanu added as a joke.

“This was not an action film with Aziz and Rogen,” Stephen clarified once again.

“No, it was comedy,” Keanu confirmed.

“Welcome to my life,” Stephen joked.

Keanu had been spotted filming while on crutches in January this year with an ice pack on his knee.

Good Fortune not only stars Aziz Ansari but will also be his directorial debut. The actor wrote and co-produced the movie which also stars Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.

Denmark has two of the world’s top 30 hospitals – ranking

Aarhus University Hospital ranked 19th and Rigshospitalet seven places further back

Denmark has two of the top 30 hospitals in the world, according to an annual ranking based on expert opinions compiled by Newsweek.com and Statista.

Leading the way was Aarhus University Hospital in 19th place with Copenhagen’s very own Rigshospitalet in 26th.

The ranking was quite extensive, assessing 2,200 hospitals in 27 countries, and 21 of them had at least one hospital in the top 150.

Denmark ended up with four, as Odense University Hospital and Aalborg Hospital did enough to be ranked 95th and 110th respectively.

Performing in the pandemic
The results, to some extent, reflect the efforts of hospitals worldwide to deal with the pandemic.

Many hospital representatives told Newsweek how COVID-19 had forced them to dig into their physical and mental reserves: “improvising on the fly” was how one put it.

“What has set the world’s leading hospitals apart is their continued ability to deliver the highest-quality patient care and conduct critical medical research even as they focused on battling COVID,” praised the ranking compilers.

“Indeed, as the fourth annual ranking of the World’s Best Hospitals by Newsweek and Statista shows, consistency in excellence is the hallmark of these institutions, with familiar names dominating the list and top spots.”

US hospitals dominate
US hospitals accounted for the top three places: Mayo Clinic – Rochester (Minnesota), The Cleveland Clinic (Ohio) and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

In total the US had 33 hospitals in the top 150, well ahead of the second best country: Germany with 14. Charité  Universitätsmedizin Berlin, ranked fifth, was the top hospital in Europe.

Italy and France had 10 each. AP-HP  Hôpital Universitaire Pitié Salpêtrière was France’s top hospital at seventh, while Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset in Sweden was the Nordic Region’s top performer at eighth.

Sheba Medical Center, at 10th, was the top performer outside Europe and North America, and South Korea the best performing country, with eight of the top 150.
