After a teen girl passes away, her mother examines her coffin more closely and discovers notees written all over it.
Laura Hillier was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of thirteen. Four years into the remission period, the cancer came back. Laura was a gifted student at Nelson High School in Ontario, Canada. Sadly, she died on January 20, 2016, from her condition.
“You all would have been really proud of her for her valiant battle,” her family said on the Hope for Laura Facebook page. Her poise, bravery, strength, and pure spirit were obvious all the way to the very end.
In remembrance of Laura, her instructors, friends, and family used colorful markers to decorate her coffin, creating a stunning piece of art. The tale and pictures went viral, inspiring people all around the world.
